ABOUT CLAIRE
I am Irish, but live in the UK. I am the mother to two daughters, Lila and Zadie. I am a Libra Sun, Libra Rising and Aries Moon. Previously working as a fashion stylist, I have side stepped my career into the wellness industry in 2019 but I am now deepening my work in the art of Soul Making for myself and my clients.
I began my training with Alchemy of Breath in 2020, a foundational piece to all my sessions, our breath brings a deeper sense of presence in each session.
I then continued my training in mindset coaching and hypnotherapy, though I chose not to finalise this training as it felt too heady. I did however love the hypnotherapy aspect of this training and this is something which I still weave into my current practice. Feeling called to work more somatically, I was guided by a dear friend Sarah from my breath work training course into a Feminine Embodiment Coaching school with Jenna Ward. This spoke to my desire to drop deep into my own bodies sensitivity and innate wisdom whilst learning to support clients to do the same. These sessions support clients to tap into the intelligence of the whole body. Often when we are confused and searching for answers, we go round in circles trying to decipher a way forward informed by our mind and thoughts alone. I have found that when we can take the time to slow down so to tap into each of our bodies faculties we often find a clear way forward with greater ease.
Continuing my exploration into the body, I trained with Jana Roemer in the practice of Yoga Nidra. This really spoke to my desire to support peoples innate need for deep rest as a resource and response to the intensity of life. I also moved into the field of resonance and began working with Healy devices. I have since chosen to move away from this aspect of the work as I no longer resonated with the Healy organisation.
In 2022, I started a journey with The Sacred Trust in the UK. This organisation has since fallen away at the seams however this was one of the most wonderful and magical experiences I have ever experienced. Working with the deep guidance of the honey bee, the spider and the serpent as guides into the realms of the void, I was lucky enough to meet so many incredible women, also intrigued in the ancient feminine mysteries who have deeply influenced my life. Our sacred tools included the black mirror, the veil, the symbol 8 for infinity and the distaff amongst others. I also received mentorship from the incredible Deborah Willimott during that time which was invaluable whilst we met as a group over the course of year in ARTE, to go into ritual and to practice these mysteriously ancient and ever new ways, which has all deeply influenced all of my my work to date and my ongoing exploration of the void, archetypes as symbols and the imaginal realms. With my Melissae sisters, we are now at a threshold of imagining these practices back into our bodies and our lives.
In 2022 I also began my formal training in Astrology and engaged with teachers of The Tarot. I began my study in psychological astrology with The Faculty of Astrological Studies, completing their foundational year. This was a brilliant and I met some wonderful people along the way. I am currently recording a podcast with Tanya Blackiston, however I decided to change my study path to a more soulful led discipline of Evolutionary Astrology and I am now studying a diploma with Maurice Fernandez. I also studied Hermetic Astrology with Sister Shanti and Archetypal Astrology with The Centre for Astrology Myth and Symbol.
With regards to The Tarot, I have been on a self learning journey since 2019, maintaining a daily practice. I have also trained with teachers Tree Carr and Felicia Kozak. I also engaged with teacher Lindsey Mack and her practice of Soul Led Tarot as part of my exploration.
I also received a reading with Kelechi Okefar in 2025 gifted to me by my dear friend Maria. This guidance helped to focus my own path. It is so important to look for help from other practitioners and I cannot recommend Kelechi’s readings enough, which combine The Tarot and Astrology. A link to her website is also below.
My Tarot practice is constantly evolving and I am currently exploring how the Tarot may be used for personal insight that is client led- sessions support them to become their own oracle. This is informed by the work of Tarotpy and its creator Lauren Schneider and does not involve divination work but seeks to dig deeper into a clients psyche where the answers are to be found within. I have found this to be a really potent way of empowering my client in locating the answer to their own query.
Alongside all of these explorations, it is important to mention that I am very much feeling the effects of capitalism, colonialism, ecocide and the multiple genocides that I am witnessing every single day in my life. Feeling totally helpless, it is a natural response to feel down and like nothing we can do is enough when we see so much pain and suffering at the hands of the very systems that are upholding us. I wish to support others who want to be more active in these times, who want to find their voices and strength to be able to stand up against the constant barage of oppression to humanity and to our planet. I am certainly still finding my own voice and ability to take appropriate action for which it is always necessary to find support from those who are offering support and who may have lived experience of this oppression in their own lives.
In 2024, I received the immense wisdom of Dra. Roccio in her Decolonial Shadowork offering alongside my dear friend Grace. I have much work to do as I realise that the industry which I entered into back in 2019 as an attempt to be of service in some way, desiring to help and support others is also very much part of the problem. There is so much bypassing and oppression in the wellness industry. I cannot and do not wish to support people in decolonial work, there are people, especially black women and women of colour who have lived with the harmful effects of these damaging systems in their lives, some of whom are offering incredible resources and teachings through the programmes that they offer which I encourage you to find. Women such as Dra. Roccio and Kelechi Okefar can guide us now through these dark times, in this increasingly necessary decolonisation work. If you are reading this, I deeply encourage that you are guided to Dra. Roccio and Kelechi Okefars websites below and check out their offerings available.
As white woman who gains unearned privilege for the colour of my skin, I am more and more aware of my responsibility to contribute to dismantling these systems of oppression in any way I can. Personally, I am trying to learn and unlearn all the time, each day I am faced with the reality of how sick our world has become and I am reminded that my desire for perfectionism is also very much woven into the oppressive systems of capitalism which are causing so much harm on our planet. Every day, if I can take any action to contributing to dismantling these systems, then that is my goal, one step at a time, letting go of perfectionism.
As you can see, I have been on a personal quest to find my own path ahead through the myriad of life which feels like a constant changing terrain. My response is constantly evolving, I am a seeker and a lover of the ancient practices which bring an element of play. When practicing Astrology, I feel more connected to the Cosmos and to my ancestors who went before me and looked to the same sky above. I am also currently exploring archetypal psychology and am intrigued in grounding these ancient practicers into a therapeutic practice such as transpersonal therapy. The only thing that is certain in this lifetime is that uncertainty is inevitable. This is something which used to cause me distress, but I am now finding my peace in this place of not knowing. I find these practices which I have learned to be extremely supportive in helping myself and my clients to make choices in this liminal place.
“Soul Making is a journey that takes time, effort, skill, knowledge, intuition and courage. It is helpful to know that all work with soul is process- alchemy, pilgrimage and adventure, so that we don’t expect instant success or even any kind of finality” - James Hillman
I find it to be true, that there is a big difference between a feeling of paralysis which causes a fear of taking any action to that of finding comfort in the space of not knowing , I strive to support my clients into this liminal space , which inevitably enables sustainable action from the heart. This I believe to be the fuel at the heart of Soul Making.
I wish to offer support through the practices that I offer to anyone who is feeling the struggle during these difficult times, as my experience is that if we look away from the pain and the suffering, we inevitably deny ourselves feeling the immense pleasure and joy that is available to us in our lives also. By looking away and trying to ignore the suffering I believe that we get stuck in the middle, our blindfolds on and we try to numb ourselves from feeling anything. I believe that we each have the capacity to feel the immense grief so we may take necessary and sustainable action that we are longing to take. This I believe to be- at the heart of Soul Making.
